Every day we post a new hot rod, custom or drag racer photo from the collections currently on Jim Miller’s desk. These are posted at approximately 4 am EST and you are likely looking at a photo that has rarely been seen outside of family and friends. Jim’s comments may reflect the photo owner’s knowledge or may result from the extensive research that Jim conducts. Each photo then goes into our on-site Photo Gallery, where you can review the most recent twenty.

Jim's Comments
Eldon Snapp did this illustration as part of a scroll for the S.C.T.A. Banquet held in 1988 commerating its 50th anniversary of the orginization. The drawing shows officials having a discussion at a 1940 lakes meet. From left are Clint Secombe of the Throttlers, Al Wrigley and President Ed Adams of the California Roadster Club, Bill Gilbert of the Pacemakers and Wally Parks of the Road Runners. Eldon designed the original S.C.T.A. winged wheel logo that's still used today and did the art direction and illustrations for the early day programs.
